DAVIS Rain Bucket 6465
0.01 "or 0.2 mm increments
The rain bucket is designed to meet the guidelines of the World Meteorological Organization. Rainwater enters the collector cone, passes through the debris filter, and is collected in a tipping bucket. When the amount of water collected is equal to the increment measured by the collector, the top of the tipping bucket (0.01 "or 0.2mm), as the front end of the tipping bucket, causes the switch to close and the second tipping bucket chamber to enter position, and rainwater is discharged through the screening drainage channel at the bottom of the collector.
The rain bucket has been accurate and trouble free for many years. Aerodynamic design of the exterior to minimize the decrease in rainfall caused by strong winds. The main body and base of the rain bucket are made of sturdy and UV resistant plastic; The tipping bucket is located on the bearing, minimizing friction and wear to the greatest extent possible. The stainless steel adjustment screw under the tipping bucket allows you to fine tune the calibration of the rain collector.
The 6465 rain collector is equipped with an installation base that can be mounted on a pole or column. The 6463 model has a flat surface mount. The 6465M and 6463M have been factory calibrated and can report 0.2 mm per tip. The rain collector cone and heater (7721) can be used for any rain collector unit. This heater allows the rain collector to measure the moisture content of snowfall.
