Eye wash is used in emergency situations to temporarily alleviate further harm to the body caused by toxic and harmful substances (such as chemical liquids) splashing onto the body, face, or eyes of workers, or to prevent or reduce unnecessary accidents when a fire occurs and their clothing catches fire. A composite eye wash is an emergency medical equipment equipped with a sprinkler system and an eye wash system, which is installed directly on the ground for use. When chemical substances splash onto the clothing or body of workers, the spray system of the composite eye wash can be used for flushing, with a flushing time of at least 15 minutes; When harmful substances splash onto workers' eyes, face, neck, or arms, the eye wash system of the composite eye wash can be used for flushing, with a flushing time of at least 15 minutes. Installation And Maintenance

[Installation principle]:
1. Eye wash stations must be installed near hazardous work areas.
2. The distance to reach the eye wash station in a straight line is 10 or 15 meters.
3. The rescue site must undergo cleaning confirmation and clear all obstacles.
4. There are no electrical interfaces such as switches around the eyewash.
5. Drinking water must be connected.
6. Water source pressure ≥ 0.2 MPa
7. Provide water source interface ≥ 1 inch NPT
8. Shower heads and eye wash stations must be cleaned and tested weekly.
9. It is necessary to provide guidance to the operators on the correct use of safety equipment
10. Wash the eyes and face for at least 10 or 15 minutes.
11. The sprinkler head should last for at least 5 or 10 minutes.
[Daily Maintenance]:
Various problems may arise during the daily use of composite eye washers, such as the nozzle not flowing out or the water flow being very small. The solution is to first check whether the water pressure in the factory area is normal. The pressure requirement for composite eye washers is 0.2-0.4mpa. If the water pressure is within this range, it indicates that the water pressure is normal. Then we can check whether the filter screen of the composite eye washer nozzle is blocked by debris. The solution is to remove the eye washer nozzle from the eye washer assembly, take out the filter screen installed in the nozzle, rinse it clean with clean water, and then reinstall it to keep the nozzle working normally.

1. Determine based on toxic and harmful chemicals at the work site
When there are chlorides, fluorides, sulfuric acid, or oxalic acid with a concentration exceeding 50% on site, only stainless steel eye washers soaked in ABS or specially treated high-performance stainless steel eye washers can be selected.
2. Determine based on the local winter temperature
Except in southern China, other regions experience weather below 0 ℃ in winter, which can cause water accumulation in the eye wash and freeze, affecting its normal use. To solve the problem of water accumulation in eye wash stations, it is necessary to use antifreeze eye wash stations, electric heat tracing eye wash stations, or electric heating eye wash stations.
3. Determine based on whether there is a water source in the workplace
For workplaces without a fixed water source or those that require frequent changes in work location, portable eye wash stations can be used. This category of eye wash can be moved to the required location on the work site, but this type of small portable eye wash only has eye wash function, without spray function, and the water flow for eye wash is much smaller compared to fixed eye wash. For work sites with fixed water sources, fixed eye washers are used, which can be directly connected to the on-site tap water and have a large water flow rate. There are many types of fixed eye wash stations that can be selected according to the needs of the factory.
