In addition to fully controlling the oxidation and combustion process of the sample, Xprep C-IC will automatically adsorb and collect the combustion gas, and automatically transfer the fraction collection liquid to any brand of IC ion chromatography system, achieving fully automated pre-treatment process. This is an ideal solution for the increasing analytical demand of corrosive halogens (fluorine, chlorine, bromine, iodine) and sulfur compounds (such as sulfates, sulfites, thiosulfates) in different matrices. Due to their corrosive nature, susceptibility to catalyst poisoning, potential damage to industrial equipment, and environmental pollution, monitoring of these compounds is typically required.


New standard for ion chromatography analysis using fully automated combustion method

It is often difficult to analyze the special halide and sulfur content in complex matrix samples such as petrochemicals and solids, and a large amount of sample pretreatment work is usually required using offline traditional methods. Oxidative microcoulometry is an optional detection technique, but the results it provides are total parameters and cannot analyze the differences between different halides. The combustion ion chromatography method can determine different halide and sulfur contents in one analysis, while avoiding the complex and time-consuming sample preparation steps of traditional offline digestion/combustion methods.
