Product Description:
Bonaijer's innovative approach in polymer materials (polyethylene glycol)A series of polymer materials with surface water wettability have been developed by introducing modification and re bonding techniques on the surface of ethylbenzene. PEP-2 is a typical representative of this, and its polymer matrix allows it to withstand extreme acid-base solutions with pH 0-14. Additionally, due to its surface being able to maintain a suitable moisture state during the instant and prolonged drying process, it avoids the low recovery rate and unstable experimental results caused by the drying of traditional silicone matrix C18 materials during use.
Cleanert PEP-2 has pyrrolidone and trace amounts of urea functional groups bonded to its surface in order to achieve a balanced adsorption effect on polar and non-polar substances; Due to the introduction of urea groups, PEP-2 has a surface structure rich in charge, which can adsorb most highly polar compounds. Whether neutral, acidic, or alkaline substances, they can be easily adsorbed on the material surface without excessive pH adjustment, which is more efficient than the first generation of PEP products and makes the experimental process simpler.
Product parameters:
Average particle size: 40-60 μ m; Average pore size: 60 Å; Specific surface area: 600 m2/g. In addition, there is a 30 μ m small particle size series to choose from;
Product features:
Stronger universality, balanced adsorption of compounds with different properties, verified through experiments, Cleanert ® PEP-2 exhibits better balanced adsorption of acidic, alkaline, and neutral substances;
General operation method:
Selection of column specifications: The high specific surface area of the polymer means that you can use less filler to process more samples. Simultaneously using fewer fillers means that the amount of activation, rinsing, and eluent can be reduced, saving time. For example, 30 mg of polymer material is equivalent to 100 mg of silicone C18 material.
Activation: Add an appropriate amount of methanol and water successively
Sample loading (it is recommended to dilute with buffer solution before loading)
Rinsing: An aqueous solution containing 5% methanol
Elution: Methanol
Concentrate to dryness and then perform volumetric filtration to analyze whether PEP-2 drying up during operation has any adverse effects on recovery rate
PEP-2 drying up during operation has no adverse effect on recovery rate
The sample loading capacity of PEP-2 is three times higher than that of C18 silicone matrix material
PEP-2's excellent reproducibility enables you to develop safe and worry free methods:

The experimental results indicate that PEP-2 has a more balanced adsorption capacity for substances with different properties. By introducing polar groups, it enhances the adsorption of acidic, alkaline, and highly polar substances. Without adjusting the pH of the sample, there is a significant improvement in the recovery rate of acidic substances compared to the first generation of PEP.
