Product Function Introduction:

Real time color cathodoluminescence imaging plays an important role in mineral analysis laboratories. ChromaCL2 provides new assistance in various new and old issues, from oil and gas exploration to geochronology and mineral growth research.

ChromaCL2 is Gatan's second-generation real-time color cathodoluminescence imaging system. It has efficient optical acquisition and dispersion capabilities, and uses array photomultiplier tubes to achieve high gain light detection capability. Real time mixing of photon pulse signals into real-time color cathodoluminescence images using DigitalMicrograph software.

Colored CL images can indicate changes in mineral composition, including the distribution of phases and trace elements, making it easy to observe chemical imprints, overgrowth, growth zones, internal healing cracks, and more. And for ChromaCL2, all of these can be fully revealed with just one electron beam scan.

10. Integrated BSED - simultaneous acquisition of secondary electrons, backscattered electrons, and cathodoluminescence signals;

11. Eliminating phosphorescence phenomenon - imaging of samples containing hydrochloride salts;

12. Computer platform - Windows 7, 32- or 64 bit operating system
