SA-3 Soil Drying Plate
Purpose: Soil sample drying tray is a specialized equipment used for soil sample drying. It holds samples during the drying process and can be stacked up to 30 layers. It can air dry more than 300 soil samples in a space of 2 square meters, greatly saving the space required for sample drying and avoiding contamination between samples. When not in use, it can be folded and stored, saving more than 20 times space
Technical parameters: Dried sample weight: 500-1000g
Size: 218 × 210 × 52mm
Zui pile stacking layers: 20 layers
1、 Soil separation and air drying
The soil samples retrieved from the field are difficult to determine soil nutrients due to their varying moisture content. Currently, most soil available nutrients are measured using air dried soil, so the retrieved soil samples need to be air dried first. The specific method is to break the samples retrieved from the field into small pieces, pick out the stones and other debris, discard the excess parts according to the quartering method, retain about 500g, and air dry for later use. The method of quartering is to crush the collected soil samples, mix them thoroughly, and lay them in a square shape. Divide the diagonal into four parts, and then combine the two diagonal parts into one part. If there are still many soil samples obtained, the quartering method can be used again until the required quantity is reached.
After retaining about 500g of soil sample using the quartering method, the soil sample can be spread flat on a soil sample drying tray and placed in a ventilated, cool, and dry place to allow it to dry naturally. The structural diagram of the soil sample air drying tray is shown above. When there are a large number of soil samples, the soil sample drying trays can be stacked together to save space. Note that due to the limited strength of the soil drying tray bracket, it should not exceed 30 when using the bracket. When air drying, the original soil sample label should be placed on the soil sample drying tray. To prevent loss, it can be compressed with soil.
