Working principle of belt filter press
1. Pre treatment stage - using gravity settling concentration method to concentrate the raw slurry, forming sludge with higher concentration and smaller volume. Then, the concentrated sludge is mixed with polymer flocculants. Under the action of the flocculants, fine particles aggregate into flocs and preliminarily precipitate into sludge, preparing conditions for sludge dewatering.
2. Gravity dewatering - The pre treated sludge is sent to the filter belt of a belt filter press. Under the action of the self weight of the sludge, free water outside the flocs is filtered out of the filter belt, reducing the water content of the sludge.
3. Wedge pre pressure dewatering - After gravity sludge dewatering, the fluidity of the sludge is almost completely lost after pre pressure dewatering in the wedge section, ensuring that the sludge will not be squeezed out in the press dewatering section of the belt filter press under normal circumstances.
4. Roll dewatering - Under the repeated squeezing and shearing action of multiple reasonably arranged roller shafts in the belt filter press, a large amount of capillary water is removed from the sludge, gradually reducing its moisture content. Then, it is squeezed by precision rollers to form block shaped sludge cakes with extremely low moisture content. The belt concentration filter press integrates concentration, pressure filtration, and dewatering, making it easy to use and highly effective in treatment.

Composition of Belt Dehydrator/Belt Filter Press
The composition mechanism of the belt filter press environmental protection equipment mainly consists of the following eight parts.
1. Sludge mixing and feeding device. It consists of a sludge mixer or static mixer and a feeding hopper. The material and flocculant are fully mixed and reacted by the mixer before flowing to the feeding hopper, which then spreads the material flat on the filter belt.
2. Tensioning device. The tensioning device of the belt type concentration and dehydration integrated machine is composed of upper and lower tensioning rollers, tensioning cylinders, pressure regulating valves, etc. The tension of the filter belt can be adjusted within the range of 50-78N/cm, and the tension of the upper and lower filter belts can be adjusted separately.
3. Transmission device. The filter belt drive of this sludge dewatering machine adopts a stepless reducer, which is manually controlled to adjust the speed of the filter belt travel from 0.8-8m/min, and the normal speed is 2.0-3.0m/min.
4. Deviation adjustment device. The adjustment device of this belt type concentration filter press is composed of an adjustment roller, a calibration cylinder, a pressure gauge, a valve, and a control valve for the filter belt calibration machine.
5. Filtering and pressing device. It consists of upper and lower filter belts, gravity sludge dewatering section, "Qi" - shaped pressing section, "S" - shaped pressing section, etc. The "S" - shaped pressing section is composed of several dewatering rollers of different diameters. Under the tension of the filter belt, they are wrapped and squeezed in an "S" shape. The diameter of the rollers gradually decreases from large to small, forming a certain pressure gradient, which causes the sludge to undergo a pressing process from small to large pressure.
6. The flushing device of the belt dewatering machine consists of nozzles, drainage boxes, water blocking rubber plates, etc. Connect the flushing water pump to continuously flush the filter belt. When the nozzle is blocked by suspended solids and dirt in the water, the dirt on the nozzle should be removed in a timely manner.
7. The unloading device of this sludge dewatering machine consists of a knife holder, scraper plate, unloading roller, tension spring, etc.
8. The frame of this sludge dewatering machine is welded from various types of steel and coated with anti-corrosion paint.
