Feed section

Continuous distillation is equipped with a centralized display and automatic control valve for the feed flow rate of the tower.

Tower top section

Pressure (or vacuum degree) centralized display is set at the top of the tower. For distillation equipment with a higher operating pressure greater than 0.03MPa at the top, explosion-proof pressure relief systems such as safety valves or rupture discs are installed. The safety valve is installed on the top of the equipment or on the top gas phase distillation pipeline.

Condenser

In the atmospheric alcohol distillation tower, the condenser is connected to the atmosphere through a vent pipe to maintain the condenser pressure at atmospheric pressure. For high-pressure distillation, a pressure control valve is installed in the vent pipe of the condenser, and the valve's action is controlled by the pressure of the condenser. The condenser cooling water pipe is equipped with centralized flow display and alarm, and the cooling water flow is interlocked to stop heating medium when it is low.

Tower kettle section

The atmospheric pressure alcohol distillation tower and the pressurized alcohol distillation tower are equipped with tower kettle pressure high limit alarm and high high interlock to cut off the heating material. Set a low limit alarm for the vacuum degree of the tower kettle in the pressure reducing alcohol distillation tower. If the temperature rises due to a decrease in vacuum degree, which poses a risk of explosion to the material, a low vacuum interlock should be set up in the tower kettle to cut off the heating material.

Reboiler

A reboiler heated by steam or other high-temperature gases, with flow concentration display and control valves installed on the steam or high-temperature gas pipeline to adjust the steam (gas) volume according to the kettle temperature; When steam flows through the shell side of a vertical reboiler, a control valve can also be installed on the condensate pipeline. A liquid heated reboiler is used, and a control valve is installed on the pipeline for heating the liquid. The flow rate of the heating liquid is adjusted according to the temperature of the heating liquid and the kettle temperature, and a filter is installed in front of the control valve.

Alcohol distillation towers with explosion hazards are equipped with safety interlock shutdown systems or other systems with safety interlock shutdown functions to ensure the safety of operators and equipment operation.

Alcohol distillation tower is one of the important equipment in petroleum and chemical production, which achieves the purpose of phase to phase mass and heat transfer through the close contact of gas (or vapor-liquid) or liquid-liquid phases, and realizes the separation and purification of mixture systems. The material balance relationship, reflux ratio, feed conditions, tower pressure, tower temperature, component distribution ratio, and internal hydraulic phenomena in the operation of alcohol distillation tower directly affect the stability of the distillation operation, affecting various aspects of the production equipment such as output, quality, production capacity, consumption quota, and environmental protection.

The main function of a distillation tower is to separate mixed liquids, using the principle that different liquids have different volatility (boiling point) under different conditions, such as temperature, to achieve purification effect.
