The AF110-R (three wire system)/AF111-R (bus system) combustible gas detection alarm uses the NDIR infrared principle to detect combustible gases, and is a point type combustible gas detector with a measurement range of 0-100% LEL. The product is suitable for detecting the content of hydrocarbon combustible gases in explosive hazardous areas. The product adopts an integrated design of sound and light alarm, which can effectively warn of various gas leakage hazards; Modular design, easy to maintain; The product is equipped with an infrared remote control, which can achieve complete lid free operation. Advantages of NDIR Infrared Principle
When a substance is irradiated by an infrared beam, its molecules absorb a portion of the infrared light energy and convert it into another type of energy, namely the vibrational and rotational energy of the molecule. During the absorption process, the vibration frequency of molecules is related to their characteristics, and infrared beams are only absorbed outside the wavelengths corresponding to these frequencies. Specific substances absorb infrared light of specific wavelengths, and the concentration determines how much infrared light is absorbed. So, the type of gas can be determined based on the infrared band absorbed by the gas; Determine the gas concentration based on its absorption of infrared electromagnetic wave energy in that wavelength band. Compared to the principle of catalytic combustion, the infrared principle has the following advantages:
1. Long lifespan: Because infrared sensors detect gases without medium loss, their lifespan generally depends on the lifespan of the infrared light source, which is much higher than the principle of catalytic combustion.
2. Non poisoning: Catalytic combustion combustible gas detectors are extremely prone to poisoning and failure in environments containing elements such as silicides and sulfides, while infrared combustible gas detectors are not affected.
3. No need for oxygen: Infrared sensors detect changes in gas physical quantities and do not experience low detection values due to low oxygen in the environment.
4. Good selectivity: It only reacts with combustible gases such as hydrocarbons.
