The method of using catalysts to lower the combustion temperature and accelerate the complete oxidation of toxic and harmful gases during chemical reactions is called catalytic combustion. Causing a violent chemical reaction between organic gases and oxygen to produce CO2 and H2O, while generating heat, thereby turning organic gases into non-toxic and harmless gases.

The catalytic combustion device mainly consists of a heat exchanger, combustion chamber, catalytic reactor, heat recovery system, and exhaust chimney for purifying flue gas. The purification principle is that the unpurified gas is preheated by a heat exchanger before entering the combustion chamber, and then sent to the combustion chamber to reach the required reaction temperature. The oxidation reaction is carried out in the catalytic reactor, and the purified flue gas releases some heat through the heat exchanger before being discharged into the atmosphere through the chimney.

Principle of catalytic combustion system: Natural gas fuel has the advantages of high calorific value and low atmospheric pollution emissions. In general, the combustion of natural gas still emits a certain amount of NO. Due to the impact of NO on environmental pollution, it is necessary to reduce the emissions of N0 during the combustion process of natural gas. Research in the past decade has shown that catalytic combustion technology is fully capable of solving the above problems, enabling gas combustion to meet low emission standards, approaching zero emissions, and effectively improving the thermal efficiency inside the furnace.

The working principle of the burner is to change the energy of the entire system by adjusting the amount of mixed gas entering the combustion system when it is necessary to change the combustion power.

Composition and function of electric control system: The catalytic burner electric control system consists of PLC controller, text display, frequency converter, igniter, ultraviolet sensor, thermocouple and other electronic control equipment, as well as a fan. In addition, the ratio of gas to air is regulated by a zero pressure valve. The working process of the catalytic combustion electrical control system is divided into three states: burner working state, stop state, and parameter setting state. In the working state, it is divided into ignition process and combustion process. The temperature is detected by the installed thermocouple and displayed on a text monitor.

PLc has analog input and output modules that detect flame combustion signals and thermocouple temperature signals. After comparing the detected signals with the set signals, the output frequency of the frequency converter is controlled by a 0-10V electrical signal to adjust the fan speed and maintain the combustion temperature of the burner. This constitutes a control system based on the set temperature; Automatically detect the temperature signal of the burner and compare it with the set temperature, output various alarm signals or directly shut down.
